Chief Mate with Specialized Oil Tanker Safety Endorsement

Coastal Shipping Ltd. - A division of the Woodward Group of Companies is presently compiling an Eligibility List of competent Chief Mates with Specialized Oil Tanker Safety endorsement and experience in oil tanker operations. All applicants are encouraged to submit a resume with a copy of:

  • Chief Officer, unrestricted ticket
  • Specialized Oil Tanker endorsement
  • Specialized Chemical Tanker endorsement (if applicable)
  • STCW Basic Safety (or equivalent)
  • STCW Survival Craft Training (or equivalent)
  • STCW Advanced Firefighting (or equivalent)
  • MED D - Marine Emergency Duties for Senior Officers (or equivalent)
  • Ship Security Officer endorsement
  • Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical
  • Valid Marine Advanced First Aid
  • GMDSS (General Operators Certificate)
  • ECDIS (generic, and type specific if Furuno or JRC )
  • WHMIS (if possessed; valid within the past 3 years)
  • Passport

Preference will be given to those with 5-10 years experience as Chief Mate, and familiar with International Trade. Competitve salary and remuneration package; including 3% matching RSP contribution, group benefits and travel paid/reimbursed by company. Current rotation is approximately 45 days (+/- 4), depending on ships schedule.
