Reformar Inc is a company which manages scientific equipment and vessel’s.  We are currently looking for a 2nd Cook to complete our expanding team. This is a permanent position and the candidate will work onboard the Research Vessels Coriolis II.

Responsibilities :

• Creating various menus and assisting in serving the vessel’s crew and clients;
• Assisting the Chief Cook in the food preparation and cleaning procedures;
• Assisting the Chief Cook to monitor products inventory and ordering;
• Ensuring a good presentation and quality of food;
• Ensuring that the hygiene and the work health and safety regulations are met and enforced;
• Maximizing the preservation of food products;
• Ensuring the good functionality of the galley department; and
• All other related tasks required for the benefit of the organization.

Qualifications :

• Valid Transport Canada Marine Emergency Duties (MEDs) certificates (obtained in the last 5 years);
• Valid Transport Canada Ship personnel with designated security duties certificate;
• Valid Transport Canada Medical Certificate;
• Cooking formation and/or relevant experience;
• Transport Canada Ship Cook Certificate (an asset);
• Hygiene certificate from MAPAQ (an asset); and
• Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.
