Main Resposibilties

Carries out various techincal troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work, both electrical and electronic, on ships.

Job Requirements

DEC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 5 years experience in electricity and electronics

Mininum 5 yesr of experience in the maritime field

Knowlege of reading electrical and electronic plans

Knowledge of natonal (secially Transport Canada TP 127) and international maritme regulations. as well as those of Classification Societes

High availabitly and willingness to travel

Knowledge of computer systems and abilty to write reports

Specific requirements

Hold a Transport Canada medical certificate

Have successfuly complted (Basic Safety) Marine Emergency Duties (Basic Safety) training according to the International Covention on Standards of Training (STCW 1995)
