A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF WHAT TO EXPECT

Under the supervision of the Director – Fleet Maintenance , you will perform general mechanical maintenance on azimuthal (Z-Drive) and conventional tugs.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the tugs in the various ports.
RESPONSIBILITIES YOU WILL BE ENTRUSTED WITH
- Maintain the main engine and auxiliary equipment
- Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic control systems as well as replenishment-at-sea equipment
- Operate and maintain refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
- Monitor the tasks of the preventive maintenance system
- Ensure the implementation of the safety management system in his department
- Monitor the functioning parameters of the main engine (pressure, temperature, levels) and report any irregularity
- Other related tasks as requested by his supervisor
PROFILE SOUGHT
- Valid Canadian STCW Engineer Officer 3rd or 4th engine class certificate (minimum requirement)
- Propulsion Simulator Training Certificate II (asset)
- Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada
- STCW Basic Safety STCW Training Certificates, Ability to Operate Lifeboats and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Craft and Advanced Firefighting Techniques
- Available for day, night, weekend and outside trips to ports
- Hold a valid class 5 driver’s license (mandatory)
- Autonomy and organizational skills
- Functional English
- Functional French (asset)
