Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible to deliver the strategy and plan of global in-house planned maintenance to yield meaningful opex savings whilst increasing assets up-time;
  • Implement a framework of collaboration across chief engineers and vessel managers;
  • Lead the assessment and integration of condition monitoring into planned maintenance;
  • Responsible to collaborate with classification societies (LR and DNV) to enact digital class and CBM;
  • Define, manage and govern the vessel equipment and planned maintenance master data;
  • Implement a process for continuous review and improvement of jobs definition and interval;
  • Participate as a key stakeholder to the implementation of a new technical management tool;
  • Define a strategy to leverage our vision in our vShips’ managed assets.

Qualification and skills

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical or industrial Engineering, or marine engineering;
  • Masters of Business Administration or equivalent, specializing in ship management and/or logistics, an asset;
  • Advanced knowledge level of Microsoft Word and Excel, an asset;
  • At least 10 years in marine asset management, with a strong focus on maintenance planning and reliability;
  • Experience managing reliability, up-time, potential failures, and critical sparing;
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance systems, AEM and APM;
  • Experience with geared vessel equipment;
  • Experience with data-driven condition-based maintenance planning;
  • Experience with maintenance planning in a regulated environment;
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills;
  • Experience with financial and budgetary planning;
  • Ethical and accountable;
  • Bilingual (English and French), an asset.
