Since it's formation in 1982 Norbulk Shipping has continued to expand its ship management operations. Ship owner clients located across the globe now include, public listed companies, private family controlled shipping interests and government shipping enterprises.

We are currently recruiting a full time Crewing Coordinator to be based out of our office in Saint John, N.B.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Validating & managing seafarer documentation. Ensuring that all certifications are up to date and current and that all information is accurately contained and managed in our Seafarer Database.
-Sending the crew their pre joining documentation, and co ordinating travel for our employees to join our 2 Canadian Flagged Vessels.
-Assisting the HR/Crewing Manager as required for upcoming job postings, screening candidates, and reference checking as required and participating in company audits as required by the business.
-Booking and organizing all crew training in accordance to Transport Canada guidelines and company requirements.
- Sending seafarer’s employment contracts in correspondence to MLC 2006 requirements and in accordance to Canada Labour Code.
-The Crewing Coordinator will also assist the Payroll Administrator from time to time, preparing crew expense forms as required, and will be required to perform other office administrative tasks as needed.
-This position will require being on rotating “on call” schedule to help when crew are traveling on the weekend or require assistance outside regular business hours.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Is a team player, solutions oriented, and very organized. The successful candidate must have excellent working knowledge of MS Office and be interested in learning new things and have a great attitude.
HR education would be considered an asset as would previous payroll experience.
Knowledge or previous experience in the Marine industry would also be considered an asset.
