The Owen Sound Transportation Company is accepting resumes for the position of Extra 2nd Engineer on the vehicle / passenger ferry MS Chi-Cheemaun. Job term is (1) season contract starting immediately. Job is potentially renewable. Boarding location is Tobermory. Meals and accomodation inclusive.
The Chi-Cheemaun is a 365' ferry capable of carrying 140 vehicles from Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island.
A typical work rotation consists of 3 weeks on / 1 week off following season start May 6th.
The working obligation is an immediate start spanning through Nov 1, 2022. Compensation is 2nd Engineer daily rate 611.11 per day.
Qualifications
OSTC requires, at minimum, a valid 2nd Engineer Motor certificate. A copy of your CoC and discharges is to be included with your resume. An applicant with 3 to 5 years in this capacity is preferred.
