Watchkeeping Engineer - Dry Bulk Fleet

We are currently seeking qualified Watchkeeping Engineers
 
This position is unionized. Wages and benefits will be paid as per union agreement.
 
Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, Watchkeeping Engineers are responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the generators, general service, drinking water, ballast, bilge and fire pumps, bow thruster hydraulics and diesel engine as well as all hoisting equipment in the engine room or on deck. As well to ensure documentation of all maintenance carried out is kept up to date in the planned maintenance system and/or the vessel files.
 
Candidates must possess:
 
4th Class Engineer, Motor Ship issued by Transport Canada
Marine Medical issued by Transport Canada
Certificate of Proficiency for Vessel Personnel with Security Responsibilities (preferred)
Canadian passport or permanent residence status
