Watchkeeping Mate
The Owen Sound Transportation Company, an Agency of the province of Ontario, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Second Mate on the Pelee Islander II, a vehicle/passenger ferry operating from Leamington/Kingsville, ON to Pelee Island, ON and Sandusky, OH.
The successful candidate will also act as a First Mate on the Pelee Islander
This is a seasonal position for the summer (June to September).
Duties include maintaining a bridge watch, supervising the loading and unloading of vehicles and freight and supervision of regular deck maintenance and crew.
A typical rotation is 1 week on, 1 week off.
Qualifications
The position requires a valid Watchkeeping Mate or Watchkeeping Mate – Near Coastal certificate. Please include a copy of your CoC with your resume.
A valid marine medical and Marine Advanced First Aid certification are also required.

$22,000 (3 month contract)
