These are public service (civilian) positions with the Government of Canada, not Canadian Armed Forces military roles.
The Department of National Defence (DND), including the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), and the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) play a critical role on Canada’s waters. Our work includes naval operations, fleet support, search and rescue, icebreaking, and environmental response. We’re entrusted to deliver valuable programs and services to Canadians along 243,000 kilometers of coastline, the longest of any country in the world. We ensure the safety of all mariners on our waters, protect our marine environment, and support our economic growth. We help to ensure our country's sovereignty and security through our presence in Canadian waters. Our marine workforce includes skilled seafarers, engineers, technicians, and shore-based teams who keep vessels operating safely and effectively in some of the most demanding conditions in the world. We’re looking for qualified maritime professionals, in a public service (civilian) role supporting Canada’s operations at sea and ashore, who are ready to put their skills to use in service of Canada. At sea or ashore, your work will support operations across Canada’s waters.
