We are currently seeking a Fitter/Welder for one of our Canadian Flagged Vessel's  As a fitter/Welder you will be part of the engine room team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fitter is responsible to the Second Engineer for, but not limited to:

 Assist the engine room watchkeeping duty engineers as required, in particular with regard to the maintenance of the plant.

 Conduct duties of a watchkeeping rating if required.

 Conduct on board welding. As such must have welding experience.

 The repair, dismantling, overhaul, re-assembly and fitting of new/replacement parts of all machinery as directed and supervised.

 Any other duties assigned to him by the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer as appropriate.
